Hello,
I'm a owner of a BYD Atto 3 EVO Design bought in August in Portugal.
Here is my early review with the positives and negatives.
Positives:
- It is very efficient. Battery consumption is very good, I average at 14kWh for 100 Kms.
- Power is there when we need it. Even in Eco mode, when I need a little power it is very quick to respond.
Negatives:
- High wind noise on the driver window above 90 Km/h. Very disturbing.
- Poor implementation of Android Auto. Audio quality breaks on turns! First time seeing this and it makes no sense. When doing sharp turns, roundabouts, the audio breaks for a few seconds. The same simptom happens if I move the map with my fingers in Maps, the audio breaks while playing Spotify. Maybe poor CPU? Also very disturbing as I was hoping that having Android Auto native integration would not have these issues.
- Seats are very hard. After long drives, legs and back feel sore. Also the seat position is too high (on the lower setting). I'm 1,82 m and I'm almost hitting the ceiling. Seat should go lower.
- Ventilation does not working properly. With AC On, if I change the temperature from 19º C to 23 ºC it doesn't change the temperature. This is very troubling. First car seeing this.
- Turning front medium lights on during drive turns Maps on the screen do Dark mode. Why? There are some roads where it is mandatory to turn the medium front lights on during the day. Why does it change the Maps to Dark mode? I can't see the navigation like this during the day.
- FM Radio quality... It was hard to belive when we heard. It is worst than 30 year old radio's quality. How could this even pass in the quality controls. Absolutely terrible.
